SANDSTONE ART FOR SALE – These items are a naturally occurring sandstone that is found in Utah. To bring out the dark brown and deep reds the sandstone is heated in ovens.  The heat makes the iron inside the sandstone darken. The pieces are cut into slabs and squared up to make beautiful “paintings”.  These “paintings” can be hung on the wall for display.  They are also cut and shaped to make excellent cork-backed drink coasters.  When they cut specimens for sculptures, they are cut and sand blasted to finish them.
