Description

  • Orthacanthus platypternus
  • Lower Permian (252-298 Million Years Old)
  • Wellington-Garbar Complex
  • Waurika, Oklahoma
  • The Teeth are all in a Gem Jar which is inside a 4.5″ x 5.5″ Riker Mount as shown.  The jaw measures approx. 1 1/8″ wide.  Very cute!!

These tiny orthocanth shark jaws are really cute. They show the anterior and medial dentition of the upper and lower jaws. Every tooth is a genuine fossil and
they are arranged as if the shark’s mouth was wide open and about to bite.
